Here’s a cunning little gift that gives back. Maggie Tang, Alaina Chou and Amy Yang, students at the University of Pennsylvania, have created a deck of cards with food illustrations from 52 New York restaurants. The selection includes Adda, Carbone, Don Angie, Katz’s Deli, Crown Shy, Olmsted and Via Carota. The project is supported by S. Pellegrino, Acqua Panna and Bentobox, and $3 of each deck will be donated to ROAR (Restaurants Organizing, Advocating & Rebuilding). It’s a project of Gourmand, an organization Ms. Tang and Ms. Chou founded to inspire an emerging generation of food lovers with events, podcasts and other features; it has spread to more than 10 campuses. The cards can be ordered starting Monday and will be delivered starting in November.
Gourmand 52 Deck, $27, gourmandcommunity.com.
